Tape & Micro Ring Extensions

Thank you for choosing KF! Looking after your extensions properly will help them stay beautiful, healthy, and long-lasting.

The First 48 Hours

  • Avoid washing your hair.
  • Do not tie your hair up tightly.
  • Avoid excessive heat, steam, and saunas.
  • Do not apply oils or conditioners near the tapes or micro rings.

Washing Your Hair

  • Wash your hair 2–3 times per week.
  • Always use a sulphate-free shampoo.
  • Shampoo gently, working in a downward motion.
  • Apply conditioner and hair masks from the mid-lengths to the ends only.
  • Rinse thoroughly to avoid product build-up.

Drying

  • Gently squeeze out excess water—don’t rub with a towel.
  • Blow-dry the roots and attachment areas thoroughly before allowing the lengths to air dry if preferred.
  • Never go to bed with wet extensions.

Brushing

  • Use an extension-safe brush.
  • Brush your hair morning and night, and before washing.
  • Hold the roots while brushing to prevent pulling.
  • Brush in small sections, starting at the ends and working upwards.

Sleeping

  • Tie your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail before bed.
  • Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase if possible to reduce friction.

Heat Styling

  • Always use a heat protectant.
  • Keep heated tools away from the tapes or micro rings.
  • Avoid excessive heat to help prolong the life of your extensions.

Swimming & Holidays

  • Tie your hair up before swimming.
  • Wet your hair with fresh water before entering a pool or the sea.
  • Rinse immediately after swimming.
  • Wear a hat where possible in strong sunshine to protect the hair.

Maintenance

  • Book your maintenance appointment every 6–8 weeks.
  • Never attempt to remove or refit your extensions yourself.
  • Contact KF if you notice slipping, tangling, or discomfort.

Remember…

Your extensions are an investment. A little daily care will keep them looking soft, healthy, and beautiful for as long as possible.

Love your hair. Look after it.
